Father's Day 2026: LED Sign Gifts for Aussie Dads

Michael's 3D World

Father's Day is Sunday 6 September 2026 — and if your dad is anything like the dads we make signs for, he's got a shed, a garage, a man cave, or at least a wall that deserves better than a blank patch of paint. The good news: LED signs make the kind of gift that actually gets used, plugged in every night, and shown off to anyone who visits.

One important heads-up: every sign we make is made to order, so allow 7–10 days for us to build it and for postage. Order by around 26–29 August to be safe for Father's Day. Get in early — this is the busy time of year.

For the car guy

Our biggest and most-loved range is still the Cars & Motor Sports collection. If he's a Holden man, the Holden Australia range covers V8 badges, VL and VY-era classics and more. New this month: a DMC DeLorean sign for the Back to the Future fan — it's genuinely one of our best-looking builds. These all light up warm and even, and sit flat against the wall like a proper piece of garage art.

For the gamer

Retro gamers, arcade fans and FNAF fans all have a home in the Gaming LED Signs collection. A favourite around here is the "You Wouldn't Download a Car" sign — an instant conversation starter for anyone who grew up on early-2000s internet humour.

For the sports fan

NRL, AFL, F1 — whatever he follows, the Sports Teams & Logos collection has club and team signs that make a game-day wall. Pair it with his team colours and you've nailed the gift.

For the nostalgic dad

The Aussie Nostalgia collection is packed with signs that hit different for dads — retro brands, classic TV and childhood memories. New this week: the Wile E. Coyote "Super Genius" Looney Tunes sign, perfect for the dad who thinks he's always right (and usually is).

Make it one-of-a-kind

If nothing off the shelf feels right, we do custom light-up signs — his name, his business, his boat, his shed, anything. A custom sign is the kind of gift he'll keep for decades, and it's easier than you think: send us the idea, we handle the rest. Get in touch and we'll sort the details.

Every sign is made here in Australia, runs off a standard USB cable, and glows nicely as a night light in the hallway or a feature piece in the garage. Whatever his hobby — cars, games, sport or nostalgia — there's a sign with his name on it (literally, if you want).

Dad's already got enough socks. Give him a glow instead.
